Enough

Hello Everyone:

Finally sometime to write down a few thoughts. Yesterday was the first chance I had to set up my new phone. The transition was mostly smooth except for a couple of speed bumps. The first speed bump had to do with a faulty SIM card. The card was not working with mum’s phone. It turned out it was a wrong number. That was strange however, a couple of trips to the mobile phone store fixed it. In the meantime, mum did her usual hysterics, grabbing my phone, calling the BIL, oldest nephew, and driving me insane in the process. She drove me insane to the point where I considered dumping her off at a home, no papers or fees, and just walk away. The reality was I used the travel time between home and the mobile phone store to think through a solution. Good move on my part because I was able to come up with a way to ride over a second speed bump.  I wasn’t getting any of my texts or able to log into a social media account. As soon as I finally got home, I fixed at least part of the problem. The other part just happened involves some minor work, otherwise I’m good. One thing I had to impress upon mum is the concept of enough. She tends to overdo her shows of appreciation but I can see it takes its toll on her. I had to explain to her that the phone, cover, and pretty earrings I got yesterday were more than enough. She doesn’t have to do anything else. Anyway, I’m exhausted.
