I’m a little fried from writing today so I’ll make it quick. Very productive day in the blog. First, Inoosted a short piece on the passing of Senator John McCain. He was the truly one of the few good ones left in Congress. Most of the good ones are either retired, dead, or reduced to a minor role. Then I finished this one oostvI started last Tuesday but had to stop because of migraine. Now I’m more or less caught up. The Brit BF and I had short chat today about the usual stuff. He’s in total work mode right, writing for this tech guy. Feeling a little emboldened by my applications to big name magazine, I’m on the lookout for journalism jobs in other places. There is an opening for economics reporter at my local newspaper but it’s a subject I know nothing about. “Entertainment news” has no appeal for me. One thing I did do was check out the salary profile for reporters. It turns out I was pretty accurate. When asked what was my salary expectation, I randomly put in a low amount. After filling in the information for the profile, my randomly chosen number was right. Good. That’s a good start. Tomorrow I’ll be back on my beat.
