Staying Fit

Hello Everyone:

I am feeling so much better today.  The swelling in my eye went down and it's not runny or crusty anymore.  Also, I had a serious migraine.  Bad enough that I was practically comatose the whole evening, topped off by throwing up.  Lovely.  A good thing I turned down mum's offers of food and beverage, otherwise it wouldn't have been pretty.  Anyway, I felt slightly more energetic today.  I still had some shortness of breath.  It started yesterday and continued this morning, on my run.  Hopefully, that'll go away in a day or two.  Speaking of running, between the weather and my allergies it's been difficult to get in a serious run.  I try running and I have to stop and catch my breath.  Of course, it's still kind of winter so there's the rain and occasional wind gusts.  I manage somehow.  Slowly, I'm re-building my stamina and I hoping by the summer I'll be at full capacity.  One of the coolest things about running is my legs are lean and strong.  Yay.  Someone told me that I look small.  I don't really think so but hey, whatever.  The Brit BF always calls me slender or slim, while the Sometime BF was always trying to get me to eat more. That's fine they can.  It's funny, as a child, mum used to get on my case about my weight.  She still makes cracks that she doesn't realize are hurtful.  I try not to let it get to me but sometimes it can be much.  She also tries to get me to justify why I became a vegetarian.  I told her once that I was tired of being tired.  Now, she uses every opportunity she can, especially when there are guests, to take a shot at me.  She does things like make yummy noises when eating chicken or beef. Her bestie is also annoying, shaking a plate of meat in front of my face.  I'm sure she didn't mean it maliciously but it's like more of the idiots I deal with.  Whatever.
