Today, for my birthday, I'm feeling better. I have more energy to do whatever I need to do. The Sometime BF surprised me with a lovely flower arrangement, complete with a balloon. Nice. The rest of the day was status quo. I did have to cut through the local outdoor mall and the shoppers were out in full force. One unusual sighting was a Japanese lady in a kimono at the grocery store. Okay, it's Los Angeles and nothing is that out of the ordinary; it was obvious she and her companions were tourists. The last time I saw a woman in a kimono was at the local art museum's Japanese Pavilion and it was a special occasion. I don't have any big plans for the evening, in fact I'm going home soon to make myself dinner. The Brit BF and I continued our long distance flirtation. Today I detected a note of jealousy in his reply. He posted a birthday greeting on my timeline, to which I promptly thanked him. He replied something about a "decent-ish chap" whisking me way for a weekend somewhere fabulous. Was that decent-ish chap crack his way of saying that no other man is good enough for me? He is a good man and so is the Sometime BF but the Brit BF is over there and the Sometime BF is over here. Anyway, I'm flattered by the tone of that comment. Otherwise, it's been a pretty quiet birthday. Good, I really didn't want any fuss. Less disappointment that way. Anyway, time for dinner.
