I had a lovely Skype chat with the Brit BF today. Mostly we talked about the upcoming trip to the UK; other things. He's focused on the practicalities of it-so English. I'm more excited about being in the same place, at the same time with him. Now I have to let my inner planner take over and focus on the practicalities on my end. He's pretty firm about seeing this trip come to fruition. I want it to happen also but until I have the ticket and boarding pass in hand it's still speculative. I told him I prefer to stay away from all the real touristy places and spend time with real Brits. I never liked all the touristy spots. There always too crowded and not much fun. Let me clarify, it's manufactured amusement. A historic site turned into an amusement park. I'd rather hang out at the off the beaten path places than wait in line for a ten second amusement. Although, I did mention that there were a couple of bold faced places I wanted to see in London and I want to visit Liverpool, The Beatles birthplace. The bonus part is I get to possibly avoid visiting relatives. My high maintenance OCD aunt and uncle; sis's in-laws are planning a visit. If I plan everything correctly, I can avoid spending time with anyone. Mom's cool with that. I don't think she's too thrilled with the prospect of entertaining or spending time with annoying relatives. A busy summer is afoot.
