Shark on the Subway

Hello Everyone:

Too bizarre even for NYC
grist.org
You want to hear something truly bizarre, even for New York City?  A small dead shark was found on the subway on board a train in Queens.  How strange is that?  It's "Shark Week" meet real life.  The shark in question was about four feet long and had a cigarette in its mouth.  How New York.  From the picture, it looks like it had its own fare card and can of Red Bull.  Fortunately the New York Transit Authority has better things to do than track down the, um, owner of the shark or who took and posted the pictures.  Needless to say the photographs are making the rounds on all the internet outlets.

People can be so strange at times.  I mean really leaving a shark on the subway.  A shark?!  Where exactly does one get a shark and how do you get it onto a subway?  I've heard of people leaving pets on the subways but a shark?  This definitely makes an otherwise dull Wednesday more palatable.  It's good for a laugh.  By the way, I've posted this picture on Facebook (http://www.facebook.com/lenorelowen),Twitter (http://www.twitter.com/glamavaon), and Pinterest (http://www.pinterest.com/glamtroy).  Suffice it to say, the passengers were escorted off the train.  I wonder what species of shark it is?  It doesn't look like a Bull Shark or a Great White.  Anyone have an idea which species of shark it is?  I wonder if that Red Bull is diet or regular.  The person taking the picture looks like a man.  It has to be a guy, a girl has more common sense than that.  Or maybe not ?  There are all sorts of people in this world.  The shark was given a proper burial, shrouded in a trash bag, and properly disposed off.  Rest in Peace.
