Getting Stuff Done
Hello Everyone:
It was a relatively quiet start of the week. By relatively, I mean relative to almost every other day since the beginning of the pandemic and mum's death. I noticed today that when mum's not around, things get done. This relevation came when I went into her room to close some windows and noticed that one the PLB maintenance workers fixed a turn crank on one of the windows. He was already installing new blinds and went the extra step of replacing the broken crank. Much appreciated. Most of the maintenance workers at PLB are pretty cool. The next thing that needs done is re-painting my bathroom. Replacing the blinds was something I meant to do before mum passed away but, honestly, dealing with her and her nannies was a full-time job. Even when mum was in good health, getting almost anything done around the house, in the way of basic repairs, was sometimes difficult because she was high maintenance. Also, some of the "deferred maintenance" was the result of my own procrastination. Now I have no one to blame but myself, pity. I still haven't quite gotten back into my pre-mum, pre-pandemic routine of going running before breakfast. I guess right now there isn't much of a point to it because where am I going to go? I decided to let my level of energy be my guide. If I have enough energy in the moring, then I'll go before breakfast otherwise not. I think that's the best approach for now until I have to change my schedule, something I'm hoping to do for the better soon. Someone once said that if you speak what you want out loud, you can will it in reality. I read it as name it and do the work for it. Right now, it's supper
