Just Business

Hello Everyone:

A warm Monday for me.  I got roped into going with mum to a pair of doctor appointments today.  The first one was pretty straight forward and the second one was a complete waste of time.  What made worse was they were in two separate locations.  The only thing that could've made absolutely miserable was having to drive.  Thank goodness she arranged the rides.  The bonus was the ride home came early, enabling me to get some writing done.  I was already miserable from my allergies so having to accompany mum only made me feel worse.  Perish the thought that she could've asked the oldest nephew, my visiting niece or her boy husband.  Nothing like a little more resentment heaped on top Mount Resentment to make my day.  I just looked at the whole experience as a business transaction, just go with her and keep the conversation to a bare minimum.  Mum even promised to pay me for the effort but I don't care, really.  I just wanted to get over and done with as quickly as possible.  Tomorrow it's back to the usual.  I'll have to see how I'm feeling when I get up in order to decide if I want to work out before breakfast.  Right now, dinner calls.
