Holi-dated
Hello Everyone:
Sunday evening and time to write down a few thoughts. The allergies seemed to have backed off, for now. At least I’m not waking up with a sinus headache. Wednesday was crazy. Besides the weekly trip to the grocery store, I had to do laundry because maintenance had the nerve to schedule their monthly laundry closure on my laundry day. The nerve. Thursday was pretty chill. I had an appointment with the eye doctor for my contact lens. It was a case of good timing because I just lost a lens and I got an exam reminder postcard. I lucked out some more with good timing by making it back in time to see Roma. Excellent movie. The star, Yalitza Aparacio, made a wonderful debut. Friday was just as chill. Only a little tidying up and getting mum out the door for a weekend at sis. This left me with 48 wonderful hours to do as I please: eat, sleep, and read. I did have one lunch date at park mom’s house. Can we say awkward? It was just me, park mom, her husband, and her obnoxious rude youngest son. It got to a point where I kept checking the clock on the wall to see how much longer I needed to stay to make it a proper visit. I couldn’t even pull a French/Irish exit—leave without saying godbye. I was so happy to get out of there, fast. Alright the top half of the holiday is done and dusted. Today was just about self care. Now onto the week.
