Right To Be A Slug

Hello Everyone:

Happy Fourth of July. Today I am exercising my right to be a slug. As in, it’s my right not do anything beyond the essentials, like getting food from the market. I slept in, had a nice breakfast, went for a run, shopped, came home, and spent the rest of my day doing very little. I did just finish a book. It’s still too early for dinner so making myself anything is pointless. I liked the part about sleeping in this morning.  Since I don’t have to be anywhere, I indulged myself. Always a good thing.   It kind of feels like a weekend, even though it’s only Wednesday. It’s very quiet, even though the malls are probably busy. The museum is closed today; it’s usually is closed on Wednesdays so no free admission day. Bummer. That reminds me, I should plan to go to the Hammer Museum soon. They have a new exhibition up call “Made in L.A.”  It looks interesting and I’ve never been to that museum.  Since it’s always free admission, why not. There’s another museum that’s free to the public that I should check out. It’s a little under the radar so it may not be as busy. I do like museums and wouldn’t have an issue working for one in any capacity. That gives me an idea. Nothing ventured, right. I have been slacking off from the job search lately and I need to get back on track.  The retail thing has been kind of disappointing but I’ll keep trying and look elsewhere. I also should get back on the manuscript reader trail. Now that I’ve gotten a sense of what’s out there, I can refine my search. The main thing, right now, is not to be too picky. Any experience can be useful and knowledge on a subject can be acquired. Well, it’s still too early for dinner so I’ll find something to do.
