I think the heat is finally starting to break. It felt an ever so tiny bit cooler today. Maybe I'm fooling myself because I've been running from one air conditioned space to the other. I thought about working at home today but my room is still too warm during the day. Besides, I have great WiFi where I usually work. The only downside of my work space is the occasional unruly child. The main thing is I'm out of the house and away from mum for a few hours. She had an appointment today and came home after I left. Mum was really starting to get on my nerves by Friday with her constant complaints about the weather and everything else. I mostly kept busy with my things and tried not to engage her so much. I briefly chatted with the Sometime BF about the weather. He's wilting in the heat as well. He doesn't have much to complain about because his house has central air conditioning and he works in an air conditioned space. Well, it is summer. In other news, I used my index finger to apply for a job at a New York City museum. Nice. We'll see what, if anything, comes out of it. I'll get back on the retail/manuscript reader trail tomorrow. Right now, it's time for dinner.
