Candy Supplier

Hello Everyone:

A very nice and quiet Monday for me.  I sent off a resume to this local planning and preservation office for some consideration.  I may not be totally qualified for the actual position I applied for (Historic Preservation Specialist/Coordinator) but it's worth a shot.  I found this company on LinkedIn and the job looked like something I can do.  Just based on the email I got reminding me to finish my application (I did), they seem like a friendly place.  Whatever the case, it's worth a shot.  Anyway, the company seems to have a lot of different positions available, in different offices around the country so maybe they can slot me in somewhere.  I'm not holding my breath on hearing from them in the near future.  Nevertheless, I move forward.  I like quiet days.  No dramas or running around like a crazy person.  In other words, as long as there are no major Jewish holidays coming up, all is good.  There is one holiday coming up-Chanukah-but it's not really a major one, at least not at my house.  None of this eight nights of presents or feasting nonsense.  Seriously, who came up with that?  When my niece and nephews were small, they got some token thing each night then the big present on the final night.  I may get my youngest nephew a bag of chocolate coins (one of the many holiday treats) for one of the nights.  I'm already feeding him and his mum jelly beans on a weekly basis.  I think mum may get them their own supply.  Hmm, I may have to hit up the Sometime BF for another four pound jar.  I may hit him up for something else.  Okay, it's getting about time to eat.  More tomorrow.
