Nice Weekend

Hello Everyone:

The weekend was pretty good. Thursday evening, I decided to go over to sis's house for dinner. Mainly, I didn't feel like warming up anything and I was a little bored. Mum manages to behave herself around my niece's in-laws. One of her brothers-in-laws chatted with the minion throughout the meal. He struck me as someone with some cognitive issues. Nothing major but I got the sense there was something. By the time I got home and went to bed, it was late. I was a little tired the next but managed to make it to lunch. That was a low-key affair, just my sister, her family, and the hosts. It was so beastly hot that I felt like I was baking and the flies were having a good time. I got home to find a painter doing my bathroom. This was a city housing department mandated maintainence request. The fumes gave me a headache that even sex and two Tylenol couldn't cure. About the sex part, the Sometime BF finally made his appearance after a two-week absence. It was nice to see him and be with him. With mum away, we had the whole place to ourselves and had the chillest time. We ate and slept late. We briefly chatted about the state of things. I made clear that I haven't changed my position about marriage. Say what you want about it but this is something important to me. It's about making that permanent commitment to another person. Relationships shouldn't be disposable things, they should be something you both work on daily. It shouldn't be so easy to break up. You're dealing with intense emotions. That should be enough reason to work on the relationship. We'll see what comes next. For me, what's next is sleep.
