Perfect Halloween weather. Cold, damp, and grey. You can't get anymore Halloween than that. I love it. What made it really good was the candy and a really killer Spotify playlist. Today's post took me a little longer than usual because I went to check out the annual PLB Halloween carnival. It was a nice child-orientated event. You know what I love about Halloween, besides the candy? The scary gothic mood. I love a good scary movie or book. You know the kind that makes jump ten feet in the air. The late lamented Sleepy Hollow had a few episodes that made me jump. Most of the contemporary scary movies are just blood and gore. A great scary movie or television show uses a combination of lighting, a good story, the element of suspense, photography, and good direction. Hmm, it sounds like I just described an Alfred Hitchcock movie. Alfred Hitchcock was the supreme suspense movie director. James Wale was the master of horror movies. Anyway, I love getting into a good story. Onetime, I was reading Gone Girl, on the bus on my way home from Downtown Los Angeles and almost missed my stop because I was into the book. Good thing the driver announced the stop. Hope your Halloween or Day of The Dead was a good one. If neither one is your thing, feel free to indulge in as much candy as you can. Remember, chocolate is good for you.
