Quality Time

Hello Everyone: A very quiet start to the week. Over the weekend, I applied for a job at a local school. The job is for a teacher's assistant and, without knowing too much else about it, it would be better than the department store. Don't get me wrong, I like my co-workers and the pay is good, but I want a life. That point was driven home on Saturday and Sunday, when I had some quality family time. Really it's the BIL's family but, for all intents and purposes, I adopted them. I really enjoyed the time. It's funny, I used not like family garherings because of all the work involved. Now that Sis and BIL are hosting them, I can enjoy them more. I just mainly look forward to spending the time with "normal" people, not whiny customers. To that end, I'm keeping my eye out for any opportunity that let's me have that quality time. I'm simply tired of giving up my time to do work that, for the most part, is mind numbingly dull. I have no interest in retail as a career and just really don't want to be there. Still, I show up, put on a smile, and do my job. There really isn't any passion, no soul.
