Surprise Side Effects

Hello Everyone:

A quiet start to the first full week in the new year.  The only downside was the weekly visit by the synagogue ladies.  I've probably complained about them before: how they overstay their visit and one of them just sucks up all the oxygen in the room.  For a change, they only stay a short time meaning less than two hours.  Fortunately, I made my escape to the PLB Business Center for the afternoon.  I even had a great post planned for the day, historic preservation and climate change, but current events dictated something else.  Whatever, I'll get to the planned post tomorrow.  Mum briefly mentioned something about needing to go to the doctor tomorrow about her ankle.  It's nothing serious, just tender.  I don't see a point to a doctor visit since it's not bleeding or scabby.  I think the medication is wrecking the circulation in her extremities.  It apparently is messing with her hearing because sis mentioned something to the doctor about it and he concurred with her.  Surprise.  Anyway, the would-be carer starts next week.  I'm kind of looking forward to it because I finally get back to my regular life, not have to bounce back and forth between chores and mum patrol.  Alright, I'm hungry.  Time for dinner.
