Time for a little Sunday evening blogging. The weekend was pretty quiet. I baked a lovely chocolate cake with a delicious poured over frosting. It was really good and I even had some left over frosting. Very tempting stuff. I used a vegan butter flavored spread instead of the listed oil and the cake tasted better. I play around with ingredients on occasion. Makes for some interesting tastes. For example, when I bake with chocolate I sometimes add a little cayenne pepper or sea salt to enhance the chocolate. I want to try my hand at actual cooking next. I have my eye on a easy-to-make vegetable curry. I think I can throw it the slow cooker. Might be worth a shot. I have to check the recipe to see what I need. I do like to cook and bake. It’s kind of like meditation. I just focus on the process and tune everything else out. I also like the improvisational nature of it. It doesn’t matter what I’m preparing, I just relax into it. The result is pretty, most of the time. I just thoroughly get of something I make this week. I’ve even managed to introduce mum to some new foods. New healthier foods.
