Hello Everyone:
Mum came home Friday afternoon with The Minion. His parents are still out of town—his mum is coming back tomorrow and his dad will be back when his business is over—so my mum decided that it would be best if he stayed over. He’s a good guest, mostly entertaining himself, which has become a problem of sorts. Like a lot of children, he spends most of his time indoors, in front of a screen or a book. To make matters worse, he grazes all day, making up for the lack of proper meals with junk food. Mum enables him by indulging him. I’ve told her time again that she has to learn to to tell him no and limit his junk food intake. His school is no help: No regular physical education classes and not enough time for the students to eat their lunch. The Minion is built like his father—stocky—so expecting him to be tall and slender but his stomach jiggles and done laps over his belt. Okay, he’s twelve and pubert hasn’t hit so maybe, the fat will redistribute itself. However, he still needs to be more active, cut back on the junk, and mum needs to stop enabling him.
